qua Adventures is a tour and scuba diving company located in and specializing in trips and vacation packages to the exotic Galapagos Islands. We offer land tours, land-based diving and liveaboard diving packages. We can arrange your entire trip, including airfare, ground transportation, hotel stays, diving excursions and sightseeing tours.

Our mission

Our goal is to offer quality diving and land tours to our guests with a high level of customer service and environmental awareness. Our accessibility and location allows us to cater to the individual needs of each guest to create custom tour packages, within the current environmental guidelines of the islands. Aqua Adventures is located in Puerto Ayora on Santa Cruz Island, Galapagos.

Our combined backgrounds offer many years of diving and years of working with the public in a variety of industries.

Our staff

Jennifer Cumming, President, is a Canadian who has worked in the dive and tourism industry for 12 years, the past 5 years as Operations Manager for the Explorer Ventures liveaboard fleet. Jennifer is a PADI MSDT, a TDI/SDI Instructor and an IAHD instructor. She has worked and dived in Galapagos, Turks and Caicos, the Bahamas, Grand Cayman, the Eastern Caribbean , Australia, Fiji, Indonesia, Myanmar and Thailand. Jennifer has a degree in Business and a background in sales and customer service. She is an experienced videographer and has done professional video for promotion and for the Ships of Discovery organization. Los Islas Encantas cast their spell on Jennifer on her first visit and she has since chosen to make Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands her home.

The other partners in the operation are residents of Galapagos who have both substantial experience working in liveaboard and land based diving in the area. One is a PADI OWSI who has worked and dived in Galapagos, Columbia, Honduras and Turks and Caicos Islands. The other is a PADI Divemaster and a Galapagos National Parks Marine guide.

BOATS AND EQUIPMENT

Boats

Our new 30-foot (10-metre) fast boat can take you to most of the Central Island dive sites at a speed of 20-25 knots. This means all dive sites and islands are accessible within 2 hours. Our Yamaha 4 stroke engines are new and meet all the new standards for environmental conservation in Galapagos. The boat comfortably fits 8 divers or up to 12 passengers for land tours. Seating is in a roomy, covered area and the boat is complete with a small onboard marine toilet.

Equipment

We use Scubapro dive equipment and Gates housings.
